FESSH

03rd - 06th June, 2026

The FESSH Congress 2026 of the Federation of European Societies for the Surgery of the Hand (FESSH) will take place from 3 to 6 June 2026 in Basel, Switzerland.

The main theme of the congress is “Restoration of the Balance to Improve Hand Function”. The focus is on the functional balance of the hand, which is determined by the interplay of skeletal stability, joint congruency, ligamentous harmony, muscle‑ and tendon balance, as well as neurovascular and central nervous control.
The congress offers a diverse scientific program with parallel sessions, workshops, presentations, and e‑poster sessions. Nearly 1000 abstracts were submitted for 2026 and reviewed by three independent experts.

The event is organized in collaboration with the European Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy (EFSHT) and the Swiss Society for Hand Therapy, emphasizing strong interdisciplinary exchange.

The congress will be held at the modern Congress Center Basel, centrally located and well connected to nearby hotels and city infrastructure. Alongside the scientific program, a social program is planned, including the Welcome Reception and additional networking events.
