Metacarpal Components

The CarpoFit® trapeziometacarpal joint replacement system consists of three modular components. The metacarpal cementless stems are available in four sizes 5, 6, 7, and 8mm.

Articulating components

The articulating components are available in 4 neck lengths and each will fit any of the 4 metacarpal stems.

PressFit-Cup

The conical press-fit cup enables an optimal primary fixation in the bone.

The CarpoFit® trapeziometacarpal joint implant was developed in cooperation with Prof. Dr. med U. Joosten, orthopaedic surgeon, Clinic for Traumatology Marienhospital Osnabrück Germany.

Materials:
implatan®; TiAl6V4 according to ISO 5832-3 (stem components)
implavit®; CoCrMo according to ISO 5832-12 (articulating components* and pressfit cup*, the cup is provided with implaFix® cpTi and TCP-coating, the stem components are provided with TCP-coating.)
*available with TiNbN-coating
