The EcoFit® total hip system includes a complete variety of cementless and cemented hip stems for primary arthroplasty.
Both standard offset stems and lateralised offset stems are available in cementless fixation or cemented options. The choice of the implant material for any given mode of fixation has been optimized based on the available clinical data. These features in conjunction with the modular instrument platform provide the flexibility to intraoperatively adapt the surgery to meet the requirements of the individual patient. All EcoFit® stems have a CCD-angle of 138° or 133°. An additional coxa vara version, with a CCD angle of 123°, is also available.
The cementless EcoFit® stems are made of implatan® titanium alloy (TiAl6V4) and are available with an implaFix® (commercially pure titanium / cpTi) proximal coating or with a (i.e. cpTi plus hydroxyapatite / HA) proximal coating.
The cemented EcoFit® stems are made of implavit® cobalt chromium molybdenum alloy (CoCrMo) in either a highly-polished finish, a matt finish or a matt finish with titanium nitride (TiN) coating – the latter being particularly suitable for patients with metal sensitivity.
