bipolar hemiendoprosthesis

ic-bipolar head

The implantcast range of ic-bipolar heads has been designed for use in hemiarthroplasty procedures - especially for femoral neck fractures. The outer shell of the bipolar component is highly polished and acts as a bearing surface which articulates directly with the native acetabulum. All sizes are pre-assembled with a polyethylene insert and a fastening ring. The larger sizes of the ic-bipolar head range can be combined with any of the 28mm ic-heads but the smallest (i.e. 38 to 41mm) options can only be used with an ic-head which is 22mm in diameter.
